1.How about the safety of her son? Nothing like letting every whack job know about the deployment of a vice presidential candidates son. Why not just send an invitation. She may feel it is perfectly acceptable to compromise the safety of her son, but what about all of the other sons and fathers. They are doing what they are doing because of love of country. She is doing it for a photo op
2. Sept 11 is not about partisan politics. It was and is a day that partisan politics should be put aside. I had high hopes when they said Obama and McCain would treat it as such. Just another one of those little nasty lies
3. Your son is going into the military. This is a day for you and your family. She is and should be proud of him. Let him know, spend the day with him. I am so sick of the cries for everyone to leave the kids out of it. But when you are using them at every chance it is very hard. It does speak to how low this woman will go to get her way |
Let me educate you just a bit. Gov. Palin supports the military very much up here in Alaska. She attends deployment ceremonies and would attend whether or not her son was deploying. I know this as she has attended numerous ceremonies here involving deployments and redeployments. Gov. Palin did not pick the date of the deployment. So, because the deploymen date falls on 9/11, she should what?? Not attend the ceremony?

Not speak at the ceremony?? She is the governor! She speaks at the deployment ceremonies! Spend the day w/ him?? Apparently you don't know how the military works. On the day of deployment, the troops are just a little bit busy, they don't have time to "spend the day" w/ their family. They are being accounted for, being issued their weapons, getting their butts on buses and planes to head for war. I'm sure the Army has taken into account the fact that Track's mother is running for VP and will take necessary steps to protect him and others around him. That being said, if he were removed and kept back home in Garrison, I'm sure you would complain that he was getting preferential treatment. Again, the Palins: Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
