I think it's pretty obvious that this is a spoof, done in the spirit of Letterman's Top Ten lists. It's poking fun at politics, just like the many Top Ten lists from the Letterman show.

In fact, there is/or was maybe a contest on the Letterman site for Top Ten Little-Known Facts About Republican V.P. Nominee Sarah Palin. It won't let me copy and paste it, but here is the link.

Maybe the Top Ten list posted here was in response to that one. It's interesting to point out that Letterman's Top ten lists have been accused of being one sided. In July there was a Top Ten spoofing Obama that has misteriously disappeared from the Latenight archives:

10. Proposed bill to change Oklahoma to "Oklobama"
9. Offered Bush $20 for the "Mission Accomplished" banner
8. Asked guy at Staples, "Which chair will work best in an oval-shaped office?"
7. The affair with Barbara Walters
6. Having head measured for Mount Rushmore
5. Guy sits around eating soup all day
4. He's voting for Nader
3. Offered McCain a job in gift shop at Obama presidential library
2. Announced his running mate will be Andy Dick
1. Been cruising for chicks with John Edwards

I guess what I'm getting at is that I don't find these types of spoofs devisive. They are just that, spoofs. I find the McCain/Palin ones equally as funny. Do you just have a problem with these in general?
