| The internet activist group 'anonymous', famed for its exposure of unethical behavior by the Scientology cult, has now gone after the Alaskan govenor and republican Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
At around midnight last night some members affiliated with the group gained access to governor Palin's email account "gov.palin@yahoo.com" and handed over the contents to the government sunshine site Wikileaks.org.
I would post the link, but it has screen shots and I don't think that is ethical to post.
The people that did this were about as stupid as they come. If you look at the screen shots the morons included the proxy service and provided ID tag it gave them. Meaning the proxy service company probably can take that ID and match it to an IP address. Someone may be getting an unwanted visit from the Secret Service tomorrow. It could be they used multiple proxies and hopped through a couple of networks but one certainly does not want to give the Secret Service and all of the other government resources that will be working on this a place to start. If these were "pro's" they would have known better. It could be a mistake, but it is a bad mistake to make.
The website that is posting the info should also keep in mind that they are in possession of stolen property. I know they think it is all cool to claim it is a story and they will run it, but I have a feeling it will lead them to trouble as well. If they pulled the data from the wiki source themselves knowing that it was the product of a crime they will be charged with wire fraud and interstate transportation of stolen goods.
