Define conservative? My definition has nothing to do with anyone's God.

I am fiscally conservative and socially progressive. I lean more towards the social progressive part, so I suppose I identify more with the Democrat platform. I would qualify for the conservative Democrate and my husband would be a liberal Republican prior to September. We generally share the same values and beliefs. Before 2000, I would say I was also liberal Republican. He now tells me he is leaning Democrat, so I guess he would now be considered conservative Democrat.
