I don't see what that has to do with going to school to be an engineer? I went to be an architect (NJIT) but still planned on having a house and family someday? I would hope that you wouldn't think any woman would have to actually CHOOSE one or the other? And IMO it isn't a dowry, but a loving gesture from a mom to a daughter to get her started on her own?

I thought women's lib was from the 60's?
