I think you just answered your own question. It doesn't seem like Obama can think on his feet and has to rely on scripts that someone else writes for him. It appears that his teleprompter is like his blankie. He seems to need it, which is worrying because anybody who wants to be President shouldn't have to have it with him at all times. It's very disturbing because it means he can't manage by himself.
