I call foul here.
Bush was criticized because he was from a wealthy family and everything came to him easily because 'daddy' arranged it.
Clinton was the one who claimed to be 'just like us'... poor guy from Hope, Arkansas.
If you go back and listen to Bill and Hill in interviews from the days when he was a governor running for President, you couldn't find anyone who sounded *more* hick than him... and she had this accent that was heavy and hickish and not quite natural.
Bill claimed to be 'us', to know 'us' because he was one of 'us'. I don't think Bush really made that claim.
