You have to remember that the two of them have NOTHING (or maybe very little) to base their first night on. I doubt they've seem movies or TV with that kind of content, they are homeschooled and my guess is that they don't mix much with the rest of the population and they've never done it themselves. So, for them it probably was awesome at that moment and who are we to judge if it really was or wasn't. Will they look back on it and see that it wasn't that great -- maybe, but at the moment, it probably seemed pretty good.
