I had surgery for my plantar facitis/heel spur in September. They do what is called a facial release. I had severe pain in one foot and I had 4 cortisone injections and just about everything else and nothing helped. It's almost back to normal but I would only recommend it as a last resort. I "dealt with it" for almost a year before even considering the surgery.
