Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but, you have to be a resident of Alaska for a specified period of time before you are eligible (I could be wrong--or I could be thinking about something else). I know for fact that some compensation was given out LONG before Palin was Governor.
And really, how much money are we talking per person, per year? This is such a non-issue in my opinion.
