I have never heard of a shower that the "prizes" didn't go to the mother to be. I thought that was the whole point. Maybe its a regional thing.
I am not a lover of party games but a fun one esp for the kids is to have everyone draw a picture of what the baby would like and have one of the kids choose the winner.
