In my opinion that would be rude. When you go to a party it is for the Mom to be not for the guests to throw a hissy fit because they don't want to be included. If you don't want to join in then maybe just stay home.

I don't mean to sound rude or bitchy but a person who is like that ruins things for everyone else.

You don't go to a party and act like "I don't want to go that" that is what little spoiled brats do.
