Well, I think I should stop exercising. I was in the YMCA tonight for about 17 minutes. The building manager came to me on my machine. He had my license plate written down. It seems someone smashed my window completely out and dug under my middle seat and moved a coat to take my purse.
I had the door locked and the purse covered. I actually did have some cash in there for a change ($140 I was keeping for the weekend with DH). I had to cancel all my cards, etc. (No activity on those thank goodness!) The worst part...for some dumb reason I had my SS card in there! UGH!! Getting a new license, etc is going to be tough and a pain. The purse was new (Vera Bradley from the warehouse sale last month) and I loved it! Not sure I can replace it. Photos of the kids, my access pass to the school building where I work, my calendar. I need that stuff.
It's frustrating. They had to have been watching us or they wouldn't have known that we just went in and they had time. It's a small, safe town. Ugh... When the officer got there, he claimed that they had already beeen out and were on the track of the teens they thought were the culprits. Still no calls on my purse or its whereabouts. Now I get to deal with credit card companies, the DMV, SS adminstration, my work, the car insurance company, etc. Gee thanks..... I try to live right, etc. I would have gladly given that very cash to someone who needed it. Ugh.... we just don't need this right now. Thanks for reading my vent.
