My job is pretty secure as I am self employed. I have not yet seen a huge hit in business and it looks like my holiday season *should* fair well.
DH is another story. There have been layoffs on and off over the last few years. They are laying off some people now because they bought a company and of coarse, that gives them duplicate employees for one job. I suspect there will be many more layoffs because of the president who was elected. The CEO came out prior to the election and said if Obama was elected, the company would be *forced* to lay off even more people than the original plan set forth if Obama put into place the business taxes he wants. That money they will lost in taxes will have to come from somewhere and it's going to be jobs....and most likely jobs in the US
So, we keep crossing our fingers but we can't really worry as it does us no good
