Keep in mind that there are three credit bureaus and all can have different information on your report and different FICO scores. Unless there is some misinformation listed on one, they should all be similar, but most likely won't be the same.

You can get a free credit report from each of the three agencies every year. You will have to pay for your FICO score, unless you want to enroll in some kind of credit monitoring program (which costs money). There are probably some 'free trials', where if you cancel before a certain time you don't get charged.

I agree with what others have said -- unless the dealership is offering a very low rate (0%, 0.9%, etc.), go to your bank or credit union and get pre-approved. It will probably be a better rate and gives you bargaining power because the dealership can not do funny things with the numbers and then recoup the 'discount' in the financing.
