I'm not certain what all goes into protecting the presidents kids but I'm guessing that secret service agents have to go with them whenever they're out in public.

Assuing that's the case, can you IMAGINE what an uproar that would cause in a public school? Would you want to be the teacher in front of the class with secret service agents in the back of the room or right outside the door? That wouldn't be fair to the teacher OR to the other students who have to deal with that disruption.

If I had kids I wouldn't want them going to public school with the kids of the president, no matter WHO the president was. I think a private school would be much better equipped to deal with the unique situation of educating the children of the leader of the free world.
