What do you do to help you relax when you are genuinely scared of something?

Thanks.

First of all, if you know your stuff, then be confident because you WILL do a GREAT job!

Second, use humor to break the ice and get everyone connected, even if that humor is nothing more than making fun of yourself and how nervous you are. I gave a paper at a technical conference once where I told the audience that I had a full script of my presentation, so if I passed out from fright would someone please come up and resume the talk. I won a "Best of Conference" award for that paper presentation....this from a girl who used to break out iin hives and had to wear a turtleneck to hide it whenever I got in front of people.
