Thanks for the great advice on here. I have a high stress speaking engagement on Wednesday and so I'm really starting to feel tense. Luckily, I only have to speak for one minute (!) but that can feel like a million years when you are nervous. Breathe, breathe...
The strangest thing is that I can be so relaxed when I'm teaching. I just wish it would carry over to situations where I am speaking to my peers or people who are significantly important with regards to what I'm speaking about. Hoping that it will get easier with time.
