OP, I'm very sorry to hear of your problems. We have a 2001 Windstar and had a couple of expensive fixes on it. Thankfully, DH uses the Haynes manual to fix most things and I am so grateful for that. The last repairs were just a couple of weeks ago and we found the mechanic who previously worked on it put a filter in upside down, along with other issues that hadn't been taken care of.

None of them (foreign or domestic) are cheap to fix, that's for sure.
