Ok remember I posted that we had to cancel our health Insurance because we could not afford the premiums. Well Today we went to Social Services to see about getting heating assistance. We have Heap here in NY state that helps. So we qualified and were told a Ballpark figure would be $450.00 would be put in our National Fuel account. I was glad because of course that's 4 or 5 months I won't have to pay that bill and can focus on other bills. I still have $500.00 in medical bills from last year to pay. While there I also got an application for assistance with other stuff like Medical and food stamps. I figure It won't hurt to see if we qualify.


So I get home and check the mail and My Husbands Workers comp. check is there BUT they sent $210.00 LESS then normal. That's $410.00 less a month we will be getting. I feel like We were slapped in the face,pushed in the mud and thrown over a cliff!

We called DH's compensation lawyer and she said that Workers compensation can give whatever they want up until he goes to court. We have no Court date. She also said they should set a court date within 6 weeks of him seeing the workers comp doctor. He sees the doctor that they are sending him to on the 5th of February.

Now another dilema I have is what to put on the forms that I have for applying for other benefits. I don't have a clue what they will send next check now.

It seems totally Bogus that they took the money away and not an explanation at all.DH is going to call tomorrow though and find out why from workers comp but Who knows if they will even tell him.

This just sucks!!!
