We have several Kmarts in my area. Where I work is less than a block from one, I live right across the street from one and if I take the back way home from work I drive within 2 miles of one.
The one I work near and the one across the street from me are ok. A little bit grubby and don't have a huge selection but you can get good deals there.
Then there's the one on the back way home from work. I call it "The Kmart That Time Forgot" because it hasn't been updated in years and years but the other stores have. They probably still have stock from the 70's in the back room and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see someone wheel out that old blue light and have a blue light special. And there seems to be some sort of unwritten rule that everyone who works there has to able to draw Social Security because I'd be shocked if anyone working there was less than 70. I have NO problem with retirement age people working and many of them do a wonderful job, just not the ones at this Kmart. It's mainly crabbly old ladies who move with all the speed of parapalegic sloths. I've NEVER seen a teenager/college age kid working in there, ever. The only good thing about it is the fact that it doesn't get a lot of business(shocking)so if the other stores are out of a sale item you can find it there.

I'm actually loving Kmart this week since they're doing super double coupons yet again and I've scored a bunch of free stuff.
