No, I don't think her choosing to run is what put her kid square in the spotlight. It was choosing to announce the her unwed, teen-aged, high school drop-out kid was pregnant. That was what put Bristol in the spotlight.

Since the kid's birth, there are reports that Bristol and Levi have tried to peddle pictures for cash. If true, then I think it's Bristol's choice to remain in the spotlight and she has only herself to blame.
