Other than my husband's factory closing and a general sense of uneasiness we are okay. We did not have stocks or retirement accounts and we don't use credit. We had no problem refinancing to a lower rate and we have plenty of food and stuff. Christmas was all cash so no bills.
We are fine. My big problem is not saying so in front of people who are having a hard time.
If gas goes up again that will be a problem. To be honest we were having a hard time then. All our food and "stuff" money went to gas.
