I think your problem might be in the "translation". You might take things too personally. When I say "I voted for the right person" (if I did say that or whomever said it) they are NOT saying "you voted for the wrong person" you are taking it that way the "in my opinion" part is implied. It's like me saying "My favorite dessert is chocolate cake that is the best and that is what I am serving" does NOT mean
"everything except chocolate cake sucks". That is something you are taking it to mean. At least I don't mean it that way.

See there you go again. You proved my point for me exactly. Once again I am NOT saying "I am right you are wrong" I am specifically saying that EACH PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW SEEMS CLEAR TO THAT PERSON.
Now do you get it? I hope so.
One BIG reason people cannot have a political discussion is because people take it so PERSONALLY and read so much into what other people are saying.
I am not saying that people who disagree with me are stupid, blind, ignorant, or anything else. I just think their perspective on life and their point of view is different.
For the love of God I am telling the truth I have NEVER in real life had problems with negativity during political discussions that I have had on mycoupons.com and I think it's because you guys (many of you) take things as a personal insult.
Get some confidence and be self assured. Just because someone votes for a different person and has a different political point of view doesn't mean they find you an inferior person.
