I liked it better before lawyers were allowed to advertise, regardless of what service they are advertising.
As for getting them a break on their taxes. I suspect that 85% is gross exaggeration. But aside from that claim, there are many reasons, some very legitimate, that might make someone have tax problems, not just the ever popular refinancing to buy a big car people.
I have more of a problem with the allowable deductions. Why should there be deductions for more than a couple of dependents? If you choose to have children, why should my taxes be higher to offset your deductions? Why should you get a deductions for charitable donations? If you want to do good things, then do them without lowering your taxes. If you own a company and want to take a bunch of VIP's on a golf outing, advertise during the Super Bowl, take customers to the opera, buy a corporate jet, why should I have to pay more in taxes to offset your business deductions?
