Well since I don't really have to cook it's pretty easy to pick food. I have a tendancy for low blood sugar so I would rather eat tiniers meal/snacks throughout the day than the regular 3. So far today I have had 1/3 low fat cottage cheese, a regular Arbys roast beef and later on a Wendys smallest size Chili. So that's only been 525 calories so far. Later I think I will have a small orange, more cottage cheese (1/2 cup) and a Hershey bar for a treat. That will add 340 which only puts me up to 865. I'm a night owl so I will want to have calories to save for later. Not sure what I will eat after that. I've been studying the fast food menus for low cal options. Yesterday I had chili, a slice of Godfathers cheese pizza, a giant salad, 2 jello sugar free jellos, an orange, my Hershey bar and some other things. I'm even counting the calories when I chew gum! I have made this into a game and so far (only a week though) it's working. I also mall walked last week but I didn't do it today. We (me and my 18 yr old) had doctor appts, work, etc... today. Maybe I can get back to it tomorrow. To be in the range that is considered ok for my height I need to drop another 20 pounds, 30 ideally. My goal was 1 pound a week so I was happily surprised. I know I need to watch the salt in carryout though. I was just thinking this afternoon how hard it would be if I had a bigger family and had to cook regular meals. This way I can eat when I'm hungry and won't be tempted to finish kids plates! lol I did make a big list of foods I like that are healthy and low cal in case I start getting bored. Eating lighter has made me feel better.
