I think the question needs to come with some more details.
Taking a cab in a rural area in Kansas, taking a cab in Manhattan....obviously 2 different things. Different prices and different realities.
Cabs, buses, bike, friends, these are all reasonable options, but only you can decide on price, availability and danger aspect.
Perhaps there is someone you know well from church or someplace that can drive her and you can pay them.
At this point, there is not enough details to make any reasonable assumptions.
