I think there is always a risk. Amino is not always done or offered. Some insurances will not pay for the procedure unless there is a possible problem with the pregnancy or the mother is a certain age (young, or older).
There are tons of links just google ..I was trying to point out that it can be done earlier than 20 weeks. Usually the results take 1 to 2 weeks.
