I had the hammer and chizzle surgery on the bunion and they broke the big toe at the same time and put cork and wire in my large toe. There were two surgeons doing the surgery.
Now my toes are perfectly straight and they are seperated ( I have told my feet are beautiful) lol
I was out of work for nine weeks and never have had any pain since and that was done in 1979.
There is a possibility that it can come back but so far so good.
Would I have the surgery again? YES YES YES.
