Has anyone tried to use this coupon at a PetSupermaket?

I called up PetSupermarket and they said that they took PetSmart coupons. My son went to use it today and PetSupermarket said they couldn't take it because it stated you had to have a perks card. He has PetSupermarket's card so what is the big deal?
