I had one in April and it was a piece of cake much better than trying to walk on the treadmill. They monitor you very closely on it, the technician/nurse never left my side through the whole procedure and there was a Doctor who was monitoring everything also. I only felt a tightness in my chest and that was about it. The worst part was not being able to eat before the procedure I was an inpatient so I dont know what the outpatient rules are but I was starving after the procedure and they gave me something to eat before they took the last set of pictures of my heart. I think the description on the internet makes it sound worse than it is. My mother just had one before her colon cancer surgery and she had no problems or side effects says she prefers it over the treadmill way which annoyed her the most. She has had several heart attacks and other heart issues and has had many of these done.
Dont worry its simple they put an IV line in and give you the stuff and its over in no time.
