I wouldn't have a problem coloring my hair at home, but I have always been nervous about doing highlights. I would think it would be very difficult to get the highlights the same color as the ones I aready have, and if they came out a different shade it would look odd. More often that not when I get my highlights done at a salon they end up having to tone it down with a rinse after the highlights are done. I am not sure I would be brave enough to attempt it. Although I did color my hair at home for years, highlights are harder to match, since it isn't an all over process. But, I am getting tired of paying so much for salon highlights...
