We have the yellow Dyson and love it. If it ever fails or we buy another, it will be a Dyson. We've had ours maybe 7 years and it's still perfect. We bought the attachment (it's the flat head) to do hardwood. It's great. I use it without the attachment on most of our hardwoods once a week and then use the attachment when I need to get under things the vacuum won't.

I bought ours when someone had it on sale and then Bed Bath and Beyond price matched and then let me use my 20% off coupon. I have purchased for for my mom at Kohls with the extra 30% off coupons they regularly have.
