I am talking about government incentives, not just getting a lower interest rate. Shoot. Even a VA loan had a higher rate than what we could do on our own.

Silly me for not looking for government incentives? Honestly, I never would dream that the government would give me money for a home, car, or anything else a responsible person earns and works for.

I am white, work, have great credit, saved to have a downpayment, and waited until I could afford a house. Oh, and most importantly, bought a house I could afford.
