I work in the Healthcare industry but I do not completely support the bill. I think everyone should have health insurance of some type, at least a high deductable catastrophic coverage policy. Employer sponsored plans are generally less expensive and have much better coverage than individual plans. There are also tax credits that businesses recieve for providing the plan---the tax credits are something that is being debated about---if Congress removes the credits on the final bill, most businesses will not provide the insurance. I agree that insurance costs need to be affordable, but that is not a simple thing. There are many many factors involved and it is NOT the insurance companies profits that raise the costs.
