Right now I have play-doh, crayons and coloring books in a cupboard in my living room and I'm childfree. No kids have ever been to my house, ever, so I'm the only one that is playing with/using these things.
On the other hand, I have played play-doh, colored, etc with kids but it's just as fun to play with things yourself. Plus, I don't have to share, lol!

I don't understand why so many people give up thier inner child when they get to adulthood. Yes, I can't play with my toys all day, every day like when I was little, but I can still get the crayolas out on occasion.
Thanks for your post. It really made me think. You are totally right. There's no reason why I can't just go buy some Play Doh (love the smell of it!) or coloring books. I think I'm going to get some this week. I guess I stopped doing all of this stuff after my kids were little because my priorities changed. I didn't have the time. I had other things to do and since my kids weren't into it anymore, I wasn't. Although if I was out there playing hop skotch or catching lightening bugs by myself, I think my neighbors would probably think I've gone over the edge. LOL. I guess the bottom line is you can't worry what others think if it's not hurting anyone. As for skating, I used to love it and go all the time. Time to put those rollerblades on when it gets cooler and get some exercise. I've been looking for a way to lose some of this weight. Maybe that's the answer. ~Lisa
