But he's NOT free. He is the father of 8 kids, the two oldest are oldest to understand all some of this.
Who's to say that he didn't have this girlfriend PRIOR to the filing for divorce? If I'm not mistaken, Kate filed for divorce. Perhaps she was tired of Jon's acting like a hormone driven teenager----chasing anything in a skirt. Who knows!?
With the rare exception: One person can't make a marriage work, and one person can't make a marriage fail. It's usually the fault of both parties.
It's almost like you have empathy for this man because you've either been the "other woman" or you've been the spouse who starts acting like an idiot.
