I know I will be in the minority here, but Dysons are way, way, way overpriced. If you can get one on clearance or for a deal, they are a decent vacuum, but full price is way too much (and yes, I paid full price for my DC14 Animal because at the time I got mine, there were no deals available).

Although they advertise it will never clog, that is not true. DH has to blow out the filter with his air compressor about once a month or it won't pick up like it did when it was new. I will say it is easy to take apart and unclog if necessary (which happens a lot at our house).
