It almost sounds as if he may have the early symptoms of Alzheimer's or some type dementia. That just doesn't sound like something a sane person would do...I mean how could he not recognize his own daughter no matter how long it's been. I had not seen any pictures of her in years and years but then recently saw her picture and she looks like the same ol' person to me....it's not like she's changed all that much even since she was a child actor!
