THAT'S what you need to tell yourself because it's true. Now, you can take all that strength sapping energy you spent trying to help him, trying to hold on, trying to get through another day and use it to ENJOY life. There's going to be some grieving for the death of the marriage (that's only natural) but once you get through it, life is going to be SO much better for you and your children. You're going to be shocked at the difference. You don't deserve to be treated like that - you never did. I'm so glad you see that and better days are ahead for you.
