After 14+ years my dishwasher is acting up on the drying cycle and I'm thinking about venturing out in the next week or so to get a new one. Originally I had my mind set on getting one of those double drawer type units and then I read the reviews and they were horrible.

At our other house we have one that has the silverware section in the door and sometimes I wonder if it gets as clean since one side is up against the door. I don't need or want a dozen wash cycles or lots of bells and whistles but nor do I want one with a bad repair history.

And what about the interior surfaces? I know my new microwave has that silver/stainless interior and I would never do that again. I miss my whitish/almond interior from my previous microwave. It looked like the day I got it when it went out after 13 years.
