Another fun read (I read it in the waiting room a the hospital while DH was in surgery) is :

The Idiot Girls' Action-Adventure Club" by Laurie Notaro.

It was the perfect LMAO book to read to take my mind off everything.

I crack up laughing at the Stephanie Plum books too - normally at Bob and his antics. Or sometimes Grandma's quirkiness. My son always looks at me when I am sitting and laughing, and tells me I am always laughing at those books.
