Well, I turned 55 yesterday! Mine stopped three years this coming December. YAY!! I don't miss them at all. I was having the heavy periods too and cramps. My doctor had prescribed Aleve for pain for my fibromyalgia and neck, and I found simply by accident that Aleve slowed down the flow and stopped the cramps. I would take two Aleves (naproxin) and it would help so much. So I suggest start with one Aleve and see what happens and then take another one in an hour or so. You'll find it really makes a difference.
