Most mothers -- at times -- feel totally overwhelmed with the responsibility of raising their children. And Duggar is putting that same kind of responsibility on her older kids! Absolutely, totally selfish |
Actually she (teacher) has a point. Kids these days with working parents don't spend that much time with their parents. And if you add in any type of after school sports or lessons, etc... that's even less time. And that's assuming every second the parents aren't working they are with their kids. Then there is dinner, laundry, etc... when they are home. As I've stated many times I'm best friends with a family of 9 that home school. I've never seen such a tighter bond between siblings. They are all happy, well adjusted wonderful kids. They do not feel at all burdened if they need to help out. They love each other and want to help each other. I'm sure not all big families are like this but the Duggars seem pretty happy, etc... They certainly get tons of love from their parents and their siblings. Don't underestimate the value of sibling love. They will have their siblings in their lives longer than their parents (death of parents usually come before death of siblings) so those bonds need to be strong.
