that sounds like a neat place to live ! I live in Appalachia,WV. Let's see, I guess what is unique is you see coal seams in the mountains beside the roadways. Never seen real coal before.

What I do not like is this place floods with big rains..not my house but a lot of the town will. Also, there are many abandoned buildings with broken windows, roofs rotting apart, etc..the owners do not tear them down.

Also what I do not like is many people smoke..I can count how many people I see smoking on my way to town and I will prob. get to number 25 , and I live 3 miles from town !

good is I guess the scenery at times..like in the fall..
