I live in Northern Minnesota and I love the mix of scenery we have up here. I can drive 30 mins in any direction and encounter different land from country pastures, to deep woods, to the shoreline of Lake Superior.

I don't like the limited cultural diversity, especially for a 'college town'. Very few ethnic restaurants (other than 'chain' places), very few people of color and the media up here seem to portray them in the worst possible view. This was most apparant when we spent a lot of time at the UofM in Minneapolis and were introduced to so many rich cultures and interesting people...priceless for my kids. Oh, and I hate the long cold winters!!!
