I grew up in Milwaukee and the suburbs. I live about 2 blocks from Lake Michigan for many years. About 22 years ago we moved to Maryland (recession in the Midwest closed many businesses). We live on the border of DC. We can go to the beach or be in the mountains in 2 to 3 hours. I enjoy living close to DC to see all the museums, monuments and political events. Many historical places to visit in the surrounding states. We have lots of trees, parks and the four seasons. I don't like the hot, humid summers.
