My husband and I grew up in Nebraska, but have moved around a bit due to his job. Our favorite place we lived was Minnesota. Beautiful scenery, nice people, good schools. Yes, the winters could be cold (especially noticeable at night), but you really did get used to it. Now, we reside in Indiana, not too far from Chicago. What I really dislike about this area is the pollution and horrendous traffic. It's kind of neat being close to downtown Chicago, but the traffic is just unbearable. What I do like about our community are the fantastic schools. The kids are getting a wonderful education and are taking advantage of the great music program here. The good outweighs the bad, but I don't know if I see myself here in 20 years.
