I don't know. I've thought about that before. My grandmothers lived to be 84 & 87.

The one that lived to be 87 was driving (only around town, no real distance) up until about 6 months before she died. She was very active and sharp.

My other grandma, the one who lived to be 84 was very active up until about age 80, then she had a rough last few years. One thing I noticed about both of them was both of their husbands were gone for lots of years before them and a lot of their friends were gone before them. I think that would be a very sad part of it...losing so many people close to you...
