Well, the last time (and only time as a matter of fact) that my DH and I got the flu shot, we BOTH got a horrible case of the flu right at Christmas. It was the worst case of flu we'd ever had.

So no, I'm not getting the flu shots and I'll just continue with the handwashing, etc. A little trick I do in the wintertime is when I go to places with grocery carts, I don't take my gloves off. Don't know if this helps or not, but I feel it does.

DH's employment gives the flu shots for free for employees and their families every year.
